Slurry Management

Digested bio gas slurry is an excellent biofertilizer enriched with bioavailable minerals add soil friendly microbes which improve texture of soil as well as quality and quantity of crop. Bio gas plants I’m not always installed at places where slurry can be used directly into fields also if plants are adjacent to fields love is not required daily to the fields so there are different options it can be practice to best utilize this bio slurry.

• Slurry separator. A mechanical screw separator can be installed. This dried slurry can be stored and transported. Biotech practiced it at different sites and it come in observation that liquid part and solid part of slurry have different properties.
• Slurry pit drying. As thought by our Nepalese trainers this method is workable in small domestic biogas plants. At commercial or large scale is difficult to manage.
• Dung sticks or dung cakes. Solid content of bio slurry can be converted into dung sticks or dung cakes if no agriculture use is feasible .
